Canberra led 24 to 4 at halftime and looked home and hosed, but Souths clawed back before the Raiders held on to win 36 to 34 at Optus Stadium. Hudson Young opened the scoring in the 20th minute and finished with two tries as the Rabbitohs' fightback fell two points short.

Jed Stuart, unlikely to have drawn much ownership, played the full 80 minutes for just 12 points.
