Sydney Roosters vs Cronulla Sharks - Finals Week 2, 2026
The result
The Roosters put this one away early and never let the Sharks back in, winning 46 to 10 at Allianz Stadium. Lindsay Collins crossed inside two minutes, and Cronulla's closest approach after halftime was still 12 points.
How it unfolded
The Roosters made 50 tackle breaks to the Sharks' 19, and ran for 1626 metres to Cronulla's 1400. Cronulla made 340 tackles to the Roosters' 321, though their 50 missed tackles told the bigger story of the afternoon.
Against projection
Briton Nikora went well past his projection, scoring 63 against an expected 38, while Robert Toia's 67 beat his projection of 44 with a try and a try assist. Nicholas Hynes lasted just 3 minutes and finished on minus 1, a long way short of his 48 projection, and Naufahu Whyte's night ended after 25 minutes for 15 points against a projection of 51.
