Newcastle Knights vs Parramatta Eels - Round 13, 2026
The result
A Fletcher Hunt try in the 71st minute put the Knights in front for keeps, and Newcastle held on 28 to 22 at McDonald Jones Stadium after the Eels got within six points late. Dylan Lucas opened the scoring in the third minute and the Knights led 12 to 10 at halftime before the finish tightened right up.
How it unfolded
Parramatta held the edge in the arm-wrestle for the ball, with the Eels recording 54 percent possession to the Knights' 46, and backed that up with more metres, running for 1686 against Newcastle's 1560. Newcastle made do with the ball they had, completing at 73 percent to the Eels' 71.
Against projection
Harrison Graham scored 41 off the bench against a projection of just 12, while Dylan Walker also came in under 45 minutes but still returned 32 against an 8 projection. Fletcher Sharpe was the biggest miss, scoring 37 against a 77 projection despite two try assists, and Kalyn Ponga fell 27 short of his own projection with 40.
Price moves
Ronald Volkman's price climbed $22,000 after his 42 against a break even of just 20, while Jack Williams and the rest of the Eels pack went unmentioned in the rises but Harrison Edwards wore the opposite outcome, dropping $36,000 having scored 21 against a break even of 53. Tyson Frizell also slid, down $23,000 after his 30 fell short of a break even of 44, and Phoenix Crossland lost $22,000 with 32 against 49 needed.
Ownership outcome
Jordan Samrani scored 43 against a break even of just 16, a return that pushed his price up $20,000 as well. Dominic Young added 44 against a break even of 12, another case of a cheaper price tag paying off well above what was needed to hold value.
