Sydney Roosters vs North Queensland Cowboys - Round 11, 2026
The result
The Cowboys led 18 to 6 at halftime at Suncorp Stadium and had to hold off the Roosters the rest of the way, winning 18 to 12. Cody Ramsey scored the first try in the 10th minute for the Roosters, but Townsville's run of tries either side of the break settled it before Sydney's comeback got within six.
How it unfolded
The Cowboys completed at 91 percent to the Roosters' 70 percent and held more of the ball, 52 percent to 48. The Roosters made 47 tackle breaks to the Cowboys' 26 and ran for 1960 metres to the Cowboys' 1539, though 18 errors to the Cowboys' 5 undercut that advantage.
Against projection
Connor Watson scored 76 against a projection of just 18, and Naufahu Whyte added 75 against a projection of 34. At the other end James Tedesco managed 19 against a projection of 55, while Daly Cherry-Evans returned 41 against a projection of 68 despite playing the full 80 minutes.
Price moves
Reed Mahoney rose $32,000 after scoring 41 against a break even of just 1. Scott Drinkwater fell $38,000 having needed 69 and managed only 31, while Jaxon Purdue dropped $19,000 after his 26 fell short of a 41 break even.
Ownership outcome
Sam Walker scored 55 against a projection of 79, a modest return for a player likely to have carried wide ownership given his usual role. Braidon Burns, named on the interchange, scored 69 with two tries against a projection of just 25.
